AFFORDABLE HOUSING
UrbanMatters formed a strategic partnership with Beulah Community Improvement Corporation, a key neighborhood stakeholder, and the Atlantic|Pacific Communities to master plan and develop eight abandoned, vacant parcels located along the Northeast border of DC/Deanwood.
Eastbrooke Apartment Homes at Beulah Crossing is a public/private partnership with the DC Department of Housing and Community Development. The project was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bonds, Private Financing and a District investment.
The project included the construction of 39 newly constructed, affordable multi-family units from one, two and three bedroom apartments with open floor plans, off street parking, a resident fitness area, computer lounge, library reading area and bike storage.
The project guarantees a minimum of thirty years of affordability and was constructed to meet Green Communities standards.
