Kenrick began his career as a journalist, earning five Associated Press awards for his reporting at an NPR affiliate in Florida. His coverage, known for its depth and authenticity, laid the groundwork for his transition into public relations and marketing, where he continues to apply a journalistic approach to content creation and campaign strategy.
In his first major marketing role, Kenrick served as Director of Marketing and Communications for United Way of St. Lucie County, where he led integrated campaigns that increased donor engagement and community visibility. He then moved to Washington, D.C., taking on the role of Communications and Marketing Manager at Bread for the City, a nonprofit serving vulnerable populations. There, he spearheaded digital storytelling initiatives and advocacy campaigns that amplified the organization’s mission and impact.
Kenrick’s leadership continued to evolve as he became Director of Communications at the University of the District of Columbia, where he oversaw institutional brand marketing, media relations, and executive communications for the university’s president and senior leadership. His strategic vision helped modernize the university’s public image and strengthen its community ties.
Most recently, Kenrick served as Senior Assistant Vice President of Communications at Wells Fargo Bank, where he led high-stakes marketing strategies across diverse business units, managed crisis communications, and supported executive messaging for national campaigns.
